What is Ellansé Polycaprolactone Collagen Stimulator and how does it work?
Ellansé is a suspension of polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres, 25-50 micrometres in diameter, at roughly 30% concentration in a 70% carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) aqueous gel carrier. The CMC carrier provides volume immediately on injection and is resorbed by the body over the following weeks; as it goes, the PCL microspheres remain and stimulate the patient's own type I collagen around them (neocollagenesis). The PCL itself is fully bioresorbable, breaking down by hydrolysis into carbon dioxide and water. This is why the immediate result and the eventual result come from two different things — gel first, then collagen.
What areas can Ellanse treat?
Ellanse is used for: Nasolabial folds, Midface and cheek volume, Temples, Jawline definition, Chin projection, Marionette lines, Back of hands. Your doctor will discuss which approach suits you during your consultation at VERZO CLINIC.
Who is Ellanse suitable for?
Volume loss where a longer-lasting alternative to hyaluronic acid is wanted. Patients who prefer a collagen stimulator over a pure filler. Structural areas — temples, jawline, chin — rather than fine lines. Suitability is decided by the doctor at consultation, not by this page.
What makes Ellanse different from other treatments?
Immediate volume and collagen stimulation from a single injection, produced by two separate components. S / M / L classification lets the doctor choose the resorption timeline for the area being treated. Fully bioresorbable — PCL hydrolyses to carbon dioxide and water, so nothing remains in the tissue once resorption completes.
What should I know about Ellanse before treatment at VERZO CLINIC?
Ellanse is performed by doctors licensed by the Thai Medical Council. Every treatment begins with a consultation covering your medical history, suitability, and the risks and side effects that apply to you. Ellansé Polycaprolactone Collagen Stimulator carries CE (Europe). Individual responses vary, and your doctor will tell you what to expect in your case.

Can I eat fermented food?
Yes — except during recovery from filler or a thread lift, when it should be avoided.
Can I drink alcohol or wine?
In moderation, yes — but avoid it during recovery after filler or a thread lift.
Can I eat spicy food?
Yes, as normal.
Can I eat pla ra (fermented fish)?
Cooked pla ra is fine — except after filler or a thread lift, when it should be avoided during recovery.
Can I drink soft drinks?
Yes, as normal.
Can I have moo kratha (Thai BBQ)?
Yes, as normal.
Can I eat seafood?
Yes — cooked seafood is recommended.
Can I eat raw dishes — raw pickled shrimp, raw crab, uncooked fermented fish sauce?
Generally yes, but after filler, threads, or any needle-entry procedure, avoid raw dishes for about 2 weeks.
Can I swim?
Swimming should be avoided during recovery after any procedure.
Can I blow-dry my hair?
Yes — use the cool setting during the early recovery period.
Can I sleep on my side after a thread lift?
For the first 1-3 days after a thread lift, avoid sleeping on your side or face-down — pressure can disturb the small entry points. Avoid sleeping face-down for about 2 weeks.
I feel occasional brief twinges in my face after threads — is that normal?
Yes, this is common and usually fades within about 2 weeks to 1 month. If pain increases steadily or you develop a fever, contact the clinic.
Smiling feels tight — can the threads snap?
Tightness when smiling is normal at first. The threads are designed to withstand normal facial movement — smiling and everyday expressions do not snap them. The feeling eases as the threads settle.
Will I see a change right after treatment?
It depends on the procedure. Lifting devices, threads and filler usually show an initial change right after the session; Botox typically becomes visible over 1-2 weeks. Individual results vary.
Do thread lifts cause fibrous scar tissue?
Dissolvable threads stimulate normal new collagen along the thread line — that is how the treatment works. It is not abnormal scar tissue.
When can I wear makeup?
After needle-entry procedures such as threads or filler, wait about 24 hours. After non-needle procedures, about 4-6 hours.
When can I wash my face and apply skincare?
Same rule as makeup: about 24 hours after needle-entry procedures, about 4-6 hours after non-needle ones.
Can I combine a thread lift with another treatment in the same visit?
Yes, when they are in different areas — the doctor assesses and sequences them appropriately.
After a thread lift, how long before I can have another treatment?
About 2 weeks to 1 month is recommended.
After a lifting-device session, how long before other treatments?
About 2 weeks to 1 month is recommended.
Can a lifting device be done together with injectables?
Yes, in the same visit — the doctor orders the steps to suit each case.
