Nothing on this page asks you to trust us. It is a list of things you can look up, read or ask to see, and what each one proves.
Checking the product
Ask for the box before it is opened, and watch it being opened.
A sealed box opened in front of you is the one piece of evidence that cannot be prepared in advance.
Read the อย. registration number, the lot number and the expiry date on the box.
The อย. number is Thailand's equivalent of the registration number you would check at home. The lot and expiry are the manufacturer's own.
Ask which importer supplied this lot. The clinic can show the supply documentation.
Thailand does not run per-box scan codes, so the importer chain is where traceability actually lives here.
Keep the box if you want to. You may photograph the lot number before and after.
A record you hold yourself is worth more than an assurance you were given.
Checking the doctor and the clinic
Look the doctor up on the Thai Medical Council register (tmc.or.th) by name or licence number.
Every doctor practising in Thailand holds a Medical Council licence, and the register is public. A name that is not in it is the answer; a name that is in it tells you the licence is current.
Ask to see the clinic's operating licence — it is displayed on the premises by law.
A licensed clinic is registered with the Ministry of Public Health under the Sanatorium Act, which is what makes สบส. its regulator. The licence names the premises and the responsible doctor.
Ask who will perform the treatment, by name — and confirm it is that person on the day.
The gap between who you were told about and who holds the syringe is where this goes wrong, and it is a question you can ask twice at no cost.
Reading a Thai อย. number
